Bishop Flip Flops

Witness the power of the Blog

This story made my day. Pressure from many sources not the least of which was a massive internet movement condemning the bishop for refusing to allow a Catholic funeral for a gay activist club owner has cause him to reverse his stand and apologize to the family for his prior intolerant, ill informed decision. Now I am not so naive to think that he ACTUALLY changed his opinion. I'm pretty sure he had his opinion changed FOR him. I understand he has even offered to preside at the memorial mass. If I were the family I would allow it with one condition.

After the mass the offending Bishop should face away from the congregation and bend over, thereby allowing each and every member of the congregation to kick his butt.

It is nice when all the outrage and fuss actually achieves a positive result.

Blog on!
