Mad Cow and the USA

This story was very very interesting in light of the fact that the USA is continuing it's ban on Canadian beef. There is such paranoia surrounding mad cow that it is hard to know for sure who is telling the truth but when your own scientists tell you something is wrong you probably should listen.

If I were American I would start asking some VERY tough questions regarding mad cow instead of sitting back and accepting what they are telling you. The current blame Canada attitude in the US is convenient in deflecting the blame for mad cow and providing a closed market for american cattlemen, but do you really just want to deflect the blame or would it be better to make sure your OWN food supply is safe.

and on CNN and MSNBC? Nothing... Nada... How odd.

Scary stuff indeed. Say what you will regarding mad cow in Canada, at least we are trying to deal with it instead of hiding from it.
