Marrying Unbelievers
Wow. While I agree that there might be some harmony to be gained by marrying someone who shares your religious outlook I think this guy takes it to a whole new level. It's more than a little scary. What's next for this guy? Denying Atheists the right to marry? I can see it now ....
Marriage is after all primarily a religious institution, right? I mean that's why gays aren't allowed to marry, right? Why should atheists get a free ride ... and while we're at it lets look at all those old folks who can't bear kids .. I mean marriage is to procreate right? What the heck are those old fogeys getting married for anyhow? And that couple down the street .. you know the ones who don't want kids ... what's up with THAT? Oh yeah and while we're at it we should pass legislation to ensure that all prospective marriage candidates get fertility tested BEFORE they get married ...just to make sure ... you know ... we gotta keep the babies coming right?
