Ethical Purchacing

Story here

Wow. Who knew? I didn't but then again I am clueless so I guess that goes without saying. Anyway this seems like a no brainer to me. Yeah the cost is high but there is a reason it's high. YOU AREN'T TAKING ADVANTAGE OF SWEATSHOP LABOUR!

Yeah stuff is going to cost more .... is it worth it? HELL YES! As for the wimp who is backing out, somebody bitchslap him for me please.

NPA councillor Sam Sullivan, who supported the policy back in December, now says the cost is too high.

"I voted for an ethical purchasing policy. I didn't vote for a new bureaucracy, and I didn't vote to try to solve all the problems of the third world through Vancouver city council chambers," he says.
Nobody is saying this measure is going to solve all the problems of the third world you nitwit. But you have to start somewhere and if Canada is to be considered an ethical nation this seems like a good place to start.
