Cronyism

I am so sick of these people.

When it is obvious his cronies have made mistake after mistake in the lead up to and including the Iraq invasion, what does Bush do? He gives them the highest civilian award he can, the Medal of Freedom.

When he needs a new Ambassador to the UN he chooses who else but one of the biggest UN critics. Real smooth I am sure he will make lots of new friends.

When he needs a new Secretary of State, who does he choose? The ice queen and liar extraordinaire herself, Condi Rice. I'm sure her sweet demeanor will also make many friends and by god she can play the piano TOO.

When Karen Hughes left to spend more time with her family I breathed a sigh of relief except she wasn't really gone. She was just free to write a book and go on every talk show possible to get her sweetie re-elected. Now it seems she's bored with her family cause she accepted a nomination to be under secretary of state in charge of enhancing the United States' image abroad. That's rich. Her ability to lie and twist the truth will no doubt come in handy as she proceeds to further destroy the American image abroad. Nevermind that she has NO diplomatic experience AT ALL ... NADA... ZIP. But hey who CARES, she'd KAREN HUGHES fer christ's sake, a GODDESS of neocons, GW's close personal FRIEND. What the HECK does she need CREDENTIALS FOR! The world is gonna lie down at her feet and kiss the ground she walks on... dontcha know?

As if that wasn't enough today we hear that Paul Wolfowitz, has now been nominated to head the World Bank. Oh .... My ..... god. I am now almost speachless.

Seems like if you are a screw up in the Bush administration ... no worries ... you'll either get a medal, a promotion or BOTH. They just keep recycling these neocons. Perhaps it's because no one with any decency would go anywhere near this crowd.

Most of these nominations have been greeted with great scepticism by the world in general and I see little hope for any attempt by this crowd to play nice with the rest of us. Their fanatacism leaves no room for compromise only domination and I fear for what the next 4 years and beyond will bring. What they have done so far has not exactly inspired my confidence.

PS: With the type of nonesense that is going on in Washington these day I figure it's only a matter of time until Bush declares himself supreme ruler of the new Christian Morality Church and then promptly declares Tom Delay Head Saint of all thing Moral.
