Anyway as you can see in the video the teenagers are acting like ummm teenagers, and the teacher is acting like ummm a 10 year old having a tantrum.
Seems like the fallout from this has not yet stopped even tho this story is actually ancient news as far as the inmternet goes.
Looks like the school district suspended the student with the cell phone for 10 days altho exactly why I don't know. The abusive teacher was not disciplined and apparently the powers that be felt that the appropriate action to be taken was to consider banning cell phones especially one capable of taping video.
Personally I would have thought looking into the fact that this teacher is obviously ill equiped to do his job would have been a priority instead. He not only needs to learn how to handle disruptive students without going apeshit on them, he also needs to learn a thing or two about whether or not kids are required to stand during the anthem. According to THIS ARTICLE it is a requirement that is in doubt.
I can't help but wonder how this man treats kids who refuse to say under god in the pledge. Is he as understanding and respectful of THEIR opinions?Although state statute does not specifically address whether a student must stand during the national anthem, Ron Rice, a spokesman with the state Department of Education, said there have been numerous court rulings stating that a student cannot be punished for refusing to stand while the Pledge of Allegiance is recited. Rice said those same rules apply to the anthem.
People always say that anyone who has a beef with the pledge with the words "under god" in it, can opt out. Yet ervery week it seems I see stories where kids or adults are singled out and taken to task for doing JUST THAT.
