Ontario bill targets 'gender-based pricing'
I haven't had a chance to fully digest this yet but it SEEMS like a good idea. I know I have been frustrated paying more for services that are offered cheaper for men. Women's hairstyles are often more complicated than men's but in general I think that a woman with short hair should not pay more for her cut than a man. If you have long hair then of course it should cost more ... same for men. To have different drycleaning prices for a pair of womens slacks as opposed to a man's when both are treated identically is ridiculous and it has always been a puzzle to me why it was so.
Seems like a no brainer to me but of course there are probably pitfalls which I am sure will be pointed out to me in short order.
