I consider this VERY good news indeed

Morning-after pill approved as non-prescription

It is encouraging that common sense still prevails in Canada. I hope it stays that way.

This is in contrast to the American ban on this drug which went ahead AGAINST the recommendations of an INDEPENDENT scientific advisory panel. It isn't that American science is any better than Canadian science it's that in a theocracy, science is irrelevant.

FDA Rejects Over-the-Counter Morning-After Pill

In its decision, the FDA went against the recommendation of its independent scientific advisory panel -- an uncharacteristic move. The panel had voted 23-4 in favor of the over-the-counter proposal last December. The panel concluded that the drug was not only effective, but it also could be used safely by women without a doctor's prescription.

The FDA normally follows the recommendations of its advisory panels.
Interesting .... that.
