I hope everyone who tunes in does so with an open mind.
Opposition MPs have recently tried to connect the prime minister to the scandal over his relationship with the former president of one of the advertising firms at the centre of the scandal.I happen to agree with that so I am reserving judgement until I hear all the facts. Rumour and innuendo just don't cut it with me, and despite what the polls seem to indicate in the short term, I suspect the same might hold true for most Canadians.
But Martin, who called for the inquiry, has denied that he played any role in the scandal. He has admitted that recent revelations from the inquiry have hurt him and his party, but he has suggested Canadians need to hear the conclusions reached by Justice John Gomery, the inquiry's commissioner, before an election is called.
