So, they have a new pope

Big whoop .... I couldn't be more underwhelmed.

I don't mean any disrespect to catholics in general but WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

I am not gonna go down the Nazi road cause I don't think it's relevant or particularily helpful, especially when there is so much that this guy has done since he became a senior citizen that curdles my blood.

His position on gays for one. He has not only declared it a moral "evil" I watched a nun last night tell me he actually wanted her to stop MINISTERING to gays. How compassionate or inclusive is that?

Resource Link here ---- > Equal Marriage - For Same Sex Couples

His belief that the biggest problem regarding the pedophilia crisis in the US was the fact that the media was making too much out of it, furthers my belief that this guy is absolutely the wrong choice to lead the Catholic Church.

As if that wasn't enough his sexist anti_women position with regards to contraception, abortion and women priests is so medieval it boggles the mind.

I have no idea what the Cardinals were thinking when they chose this man. I am sure he is smart, I understand he was a close confidant of the much beloved late pope, he is emminently qualified on paper but imo he lacks the connection required to minister to his entire flock. Dictate to them .... yes ... but minister?

I heard one pundit commenting yesterday, that it was hard to imagine a child running up to hug this man and I agree. So what were they thinking .... I can only assume that they are circling the wagons. The Catholic church is not so much about ministering to their flock as I suspected it is more about conserving their power. With this pope they think they can do that.

I think they are wrong.
